This event has seen sleeping Snorlax appear around the world, that, snoozing in a deep slumber, can be encountered in the wild.
The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Sleep, a mobile app that has looked “to turn sleeping into entertainment.”
From Pokémon: Magikarp Jump developer Select Button, it will track the time that the player has spent sleeping and the time that they wake up – having an effect on gameplay.
This will work with Nintendo’s new Pokémon GO Plus + peripheral, that, while it functions just like the original Pokémon GO Plus, has an embedded accelerometer to track a user’s sleep pattern.
The information is then sent to your smartphone using Bluetooth, where it will have an impact on the game.
Pokémon Sleep and the Pokémon GO Plus + will release for mobile devices worldwide in 2020.
From now until 1pm PDT on Monday 3rd June, the Snorlax that you discover will be asleep during your encounter and, once caught, the Sleeping Pokémon will know the exclusive event move, Yawn.
